With her voice, guitar and piano, Allison Crowe cooks up an organic blend of rock, jazz, folk, gospel and soul. Favourites It Came Upon a Midnight Clear, In the Bleak Midwinter, What Child Is This, The First Noel, Silent Night, and O Holy Night are performed with rare artistry and passion alongside the modern canon of Leonard Cohen, Joni Mitchell, Lennon & McCartney and original song selections (including the elegiac “Arthur”, and the epic, foot-stomping, “Disease”). "Allison Crowe is a stunningly talented performer. Her voice celebrates the music with a bluesy rock-gospel intensity; her controlled vibrato, silken rasp, and powerful projection rivet your attention. This is no casual background music... be prepared to be amazed." ~ ChristmasReviews.com. Tickets $25. Tickets available online now @

One Man Lord of the Rings ~ Tidemark Theatre
One Man to do it all. One Man to rule them all!

The extremely talented Canadian actor Charles Ross delighted Campbell River in February with his One Man Star Wars Trilogy. Now he returns, as he promised, with his One Man Lord of the Rings.

Much of Ross' childhood was spent in a galaxy far, far away, watching Star Wars videos over - and over - and over again. The result of this misspent youth is his hilarious One-Man Star WarsTM Trilogy, where he single-handedly plays all the characters, sings the music, flies the ships, flies the ships, fights the battles and condenses the plots into just sixty minutes! Ross does the same for Lord of the Rings, where he recreates the enchanting world of Middle-earth with nothing more than elbow pads and his outrageous imagination. Be prepared to journey through the trilogy: The Fellowship of the Ring, The Two Towers, and Return of the King in 3600 seconds of unbelievable kinetic entertainment! Booming special effects, riveting stage fights and harrowing rescues, the gifted performer does it all in this engaging, epic one man show.

If you've already seen the movies, read the books and named your first-born Frodo, Ross' zany take on Lord of the Rings is right up your alley and sure to leave a lasting impression. Directed by TJ Dawe with lighting design by Mike Schaldmose. Tickets on sale now. Adult $25.

An Evening of Comedy with Brent Butt
With special guest comic Jamie Hutchinson

Born in Tisdale, Saskatchewan, BRENT BUTT discovered early that being funny was a good way to get attention. Brent honed his comedy in school and at the age of 20 moved to the city to pursue a career in stand-up. Within months he was headlining top clubs in Toronto, and within a couple years he was touring internationally and appearing at major festivals. His television specials quickly secured his reputation as one of the funniest people in the country, but he was also busy creating his own TV series - a sitcom called CORNER GAS. It became an instant hit with unprecedented ratings and numerous accolades including an International Emmy Award nomination, and was named "Funniest Show on TV" by TV Guide readers.

Canada's #1 comedy is now shown in over 26 countries including the US. The final episode of the series was "the highest (rated) on record for a Canadian scripted series since it began keeping track in 1994" Brent's follow-up series HICCUPS ran for two seasons. With Brent performing, writing, executive producing, and even directing, there is little doubt the future holds many untold achievements for one of Canada's brightest stars.
Tickets on sale now for $45.50.

Mamma Mia Sing-A-Long
The Altrusa Club of Campbell River presents... The smash hit movie musical! A treasure trove of ABBA music!
If you've always wanted to be a part of a musical, this is your chance! Sing Along Mamma Mia! is the screening of the movie, complete with subtitles, so that the whole audience can sing along. The fun-filled evening starts with a vocal warm-up led by your host for the night, who will also explain any props or prompts to be used at strategic points throughout the show. Audience members are encouraged (though not obliged!) to come dressed for the weather while attending this event on a warm Greek island! Previous participants have worn nautical garb, hippie funk or 60's wedding fashions. Those in costume will be invited to come on stage to show off their fantastic attire, and there will be prizes! So get those vocal chords warmed up, pull out your tropical duds and hurry down for a fun time at the Tidemark! It will be the perfect night out for those who love to have fun, dance, and sing... even if you are not in tune... no one will notice. Book early as this show sells out. Tickets are on sale now for $20 at the Tidemark Theatre Box Office.
